We live in the Pacific Northwest, Washington State, USA. We are planning a trip to Oslo on May 24th, 2006 and will travel up to Lesja. My maternal grandmother Petra Hoksvold (also spelled Haugsvold or Hoxvold) grew up there as well as her parents, grandparents and I think even further back.
My paternal grandfather also came from Norway, Edvard Mathiasen Selstad. He grew up in Selstad, Meloy.
Is there anyone on this forum that may be a relative on either side of my family, Hoksvold or Selstad?

I am so excited to be coming to Lesja and seeing the place my grandmother grew up. From the pictures I've seen on the internet it looks so beautiful.
