Hi..
I found some information on ancestry.com that I can't get access to. Why? Because I don't own a creditcard, so I can't get a membership. Please help me out!
This is the info I can't get full access to:
http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?gsfn=Elenus&gsln=Andresen&gsby=1880&gsbco=1&gsbpl=1%2C+&gsdy=1906&gsdco=1&gsdpl=1%2C+&gst=&gsoco=1&gsopl=1%2C+&sbo=0&rank=1&db=&ti=0&ti.si=0&gl=allgs&gss=&so=3

The man I need info about is Elenus Andresen.
So, again, please help me out, I would be so grateful!
And if there is a picture or some info worth saving there, please post it here for me!!

Hi Caroline,
the best would probably be to order a creditcard...

With regards to the death record, the Minnesota Death Index are available for free here

ANDRESEN, ELENUS D.
Date of Birth: 03/26/1880
Place of Birth: OUT OF STATE
Mother Maiden Name: UNKNOWN
Date of Death: 09/22/1961
County of Death: HENNEPIN

certid# 1961-MN-025811

To retrieve more info about this record, you can order the Death Certificate. But to pay the $8 fee, you'll need a creditcard for that as well...

What exactly are you trying to find out about Elenus? Family here?

1910 census, Rockford, Winnebago, Illinois
Elenus Andresen, boarder, 30, widowed, born Norway, immigrated 1908, cabinetmaker at a showcase factory.

1930 census, Minneapolis, Hennepin, MN
Matt Freborg, 41, born Norway, immigrated, 1904, assembler in auto plant
Bina/Biya, 44, wife, born Norway
Virgil, son, 11, born MN
Donald, son 6 1/2, born MN
Elenus Andresen, 50, brother-in-law, born Norway, widowed, proprietor, showcase factory
Fred Andresen, 23, nephew, born MN, assembler in auto plant

1920 census, Minneapolis, Hennepin, MN
Matt Freburg/Fosburg, 30, Bettia, both born Norway, immigrated 1908, naturalized 1905 (obvious error)
Vincent, 1 7/12 born MN
Virgil, 1 7/12, born MN - not in 1930 census
Elliner Andresen, 39, mother-in-law, born Norway, immigrated 1906, naturalized 1905. Age is an obvious error.
Gotfred Andresen, 13, nephew, born MN

Elenus Andresen registered for the draft in Rockford, Illinois on September 12, 1918. Born March 26, 1880, naturalized citizen, cabinet maker, nearest relative, Mrs. Mat. Freborg. Physical description, slender build, blue eyes, bald. Problem with stiff fingers in hands.

The MN Historical Society has an early birth index for:

Fred Marius Andresen, born November 30, 1906, mother's maiden name - Gudrun.

On their Death Index there is a:
Fred M. Andresen, born November 30, 1906, died October 1, 1988 in Hennepin County, mother's maiden name Laugen.

You can order the MN Historical Society records by mail, just print out the order, I would recommend sending an extra dollar so for postage using an international money order.

This topic is quite relevant, so people don't look for information you already know...

Wow, so much info, thanks!!

I'm searching for my relatives in USA, yes. So I’m trying to find out everything I can about them, but I haven’t had so much luck...
Elenus is my father’s uncle. I know he had a son called Gotred, but is his name Fred instead then? I haven’t been able to find anyone with the name Gotred in death records.
Again, thank you!!!

That is why people are supposed to read the Posting Guidelines and continue in the same posting so people like me don't have and look up a bunch of unnecessary information, it would have been nice to have been connected to the prior posting.

My grandfather was Fred Andresen. His wife was Winifred Andresen; she died in 2003. He had three children-his youngest daughter's name is Lynette-she is my mother. I would very much like to talk to "Nowali."
