Tryin to find where Norwegians would have arrived in 1854. My paternal grandfather's family first settled in Racine, Wisconsin. Would also like to have some information on Norwegian settlement t ere.
For the Wisconsin information, find out what county Racine is in and look for any published history about that county. Such publications usually contain information about any major immigrant groups that settled there.
