Peter married my Great Grandfathers daughter, Gertie in 1890. I believe the marriage took place in Sundal, Minnesota. I am trying to find the ancestry of Peter. His mothers name was Betsy. I have census information for Peter/Gertie and family for 1890 and 1920. Any help appreciated.

Where is Sundal Minnesota? In which county?

What year was Peter born? born in Norway??

Very few pieces of the 1890 US census still exist - I only see a few entries from the state of Minnesota and none of those households listed as Thompson...

Peter was born in Norway in 1854 according to the 1920 census. In 1920 he and his family were living in Ransom, North Dakota. Sundal, Minnesota is located in Norman, County. I cannot find it now, but I believe Peter was living with his wife Gertie and family plus his mother Betsy in Beltrami County, Minnesoa in 1890. It looks like he was a 10 to 12 year old child when he emmigrated with his mother and father. They may have originally settled in Goodhue County, Minnesota.
