I'm looking for more information on the ship, Marie. It was built in 1864 in Bergen, Norway. It sailed from Bergen to Quebec, and then dropped off some passengers in Wisconsin near Milwaukee. Four of my ancestors boarded that ship. Another was born on the ship. She was named Annen Maria Roste. They later moved to Sacred Heart, MN. I have everything off of this site, but am still looking.

I have much more information on the Roste family if anyone is interested.

The Marie did not take her passengers all the way to Wisconsin. They disembarked in Quebec and would have taken a series of transportion to get to their final destination. This is mentioned in some of the Marie articles on this site.

Here is a good description of the grueling trip from Quebec to Wisconsin in 1854:
