I am Looking for the parrish in Telemark that Peder and his family came from His father is listed as Jorgen peterson Lindman or linland born in 1776. When they came to USA they changed their names johnson. Jorgen change to John peter Johnson He is my ggrandfather. they lived in Wisconsin then Iowa then finally Minn. Would love to connect with family in Norway as i have with my mothers family in Finland. any help would be great .

You have very scant information to be able to locate them in Norway. No parents names, no farm name, they missed any available census. Telemark parish records are available online:

click here

Checking all the individual parishes will be tedious but it is easier than renting all the microfilms. Checking one parish a day would break the task down.

Jørgen, born 29-Oct-1843

Christiane, born 10-May(?)-1847
Source: Aust-Agder county, Søndeled, Ministerialbok nr. A 2 (1839-1860), Fødte og døpte 1847, page 59.

The farm name in 1847 is Agerland.

The emigration records for Sønderled parish 1839-1860 (Brows to the left page):
3 june 1850 Married farmers Peder Jørgensen Akerland 52, Marthe Olsdatter 46 and 3 children Anne Kristine 12 year, Jørgen born 29 October and baptized 19 November 1843, 7 year and Christiane 3 year. To America.

Peder Jørgensen (3) on the Linland farm in Søndeled, Aust-Agder in census 1801.

Parents are Jørgen Pedersen (53) & Anna Thorsdtr (45).
Jørgen are thus born ca 1748, and not 1776...

Peder/Pehr Jørgensen was christened on 18 JUN 1797.
