Here is Anton leaving Trondheim on July 1, 1903, destination Blackduck, MN, ticket paid in America:

http://digitalarkivet.uib.no/cgi-win/webcens.exe?slag=visbase&sidenr=5&filnamn=EMITROND&gardpostnr=109177&merk=109177#ovre

Here is Hanna checking out on the same day, destination Lake Park, MN

http://digitalarkivet.uib.no/cgi-win/webcens.exe?slag=visbase&sidenr=14&filnamn=EMITROND&gardpostnr=109232&merk=109232#ovre

Blackduck is in Beltrami County.
Lake Park is in Becker County.

You should find them in the 1900 Norwegian census.

They missed our 1900 and 1910 Federal census, there was a 1905 state census in Minnesota but there is no index, not online and the state census' gave very little information.

Not exacly sure what you're looking for, but Hanna Guttormsen ("Hanna Gutorinsen, Dronthjem") arrived New York on Jul 16, 1903.

Destination Gunnar Knappen (?), Lake Parks, Becker County, Minnesota.

You can try to get a copy of their marriage application & certificate, click on St. Louis:

http://vitalrec.com/mncounties4.html#St.%20Louis

To order online, you have to know the exact date of marriage. You can write to the county and send $8.00 plus an additional $1.00 for postage.

Hanna traveled on the Stjerne Line which was the White Star Line and it ran a route from Liverpool to Boston or Philadelphia. There is alot of information on Norway Heritage about the White Star Line.

The Majestic passenger list states that her last place of residence was Dronthjem and that Gunnar Knappen was her uncle.

Here is the Ellis Island website, cannot make a direct link work, you will have to register (free) to view the record:

Thank's:)

The story is that my great grandfather Johan meet Hanna on the boat and when they arrived they went different ways, but Johan could't get Hanna out of his mind so he traced her up and they got married in 1905 same year their first child Hulda was born, my grandfather Johan Martin Johansen Lervaag was born 15.04.1907 Winton city in St. Louis County, Minnesota, United States after they went back to Hitra where they bought a farm Lervaag Søndre.

Is there possible to find out when they travelled home to Norway?

You would have to check Norwegian records to see when they came back to Norway.

The Hitra parish records are only available online until 1901. I believe they would have registered coming back into the parish.

The only records for people leaving the U.S. is if they applied for a passport. There may be Norwegian arrival records but I am not familiar with what is available, maybe someone else could help with that.
