Is the Andreas Krogstad from Drammen found (by Carla) in a document about early norwegian settlements in Lincoln County, Oregon where it says " The founder of the Norwegian settlement at Toledo was Otto O. Krogstad from Drammen. He came from Walsh Co., N. D. and settled there as a pharmacist in 1894. Later in the year came Hans O. Olsen†, P. Tellefsen and T. Tellefsen, all from Stavanger, Carl Knudsen from Christiansand, Andreas Krogstad from Drammen, O. E. Rache from Sogn, Henrik Tronsen from Bergen and Anton Bredesen, born in Wisconsin.

The oldest son of Ole Andersen Krogstad and Else Christophersdatter Longbroe Andreas (Andrew) emigrated in 1860, possibly with the Helvetia that sailed from Drammen May 10 and reached Quebec June 11 1860.

His whereabouts between 1860 and 1894 is uknown to me, but a map showing settlements in Sterling township, Brookings County SD 1897 shows Andrew Olson with settlements close to the settlement belonging to Ole Anderson Krogstad. Still another settlement in Sterling at 1897 has the name Otto Olson on it (do we have sons and father here?)
