Karoline Sofie Erika Pettersdatter was born in Groenjord, Lenvik, Troms, 28.sept. 1859. Parents were Pet(t)er Mathias Henriksen and Kristiana Margrethe Pedersdatter. Christening date is 6. nov. 1859. In july 1883 she got birth-attest for emigration to Amerika. I don`t know if she left Norway this year or later. However, she is not in Norway in 1900-census. My father, born in 1912, has told me that he could remember Christmas-letter from `aunt Karoline` in Duluth, Amerika. That must have been about 1915-25, perhaps written earlier ?, but probably she was alive at that time. Maybe she was married, changed surname? - or spelling? Can anyone help me to find her on passenger lists or living place (Duluth?) - if we have ancestors from her, it would be great to know ! Jan Kåre Bergland, Tromsoe, Norway.

Thank you! Probably we have `our` Karoline, even if the age should be 24 and living place Tromso is not perfect! Any way to follow her when arrived New York, to check against her birth-date (imigration list for sept./okt. 1883)? Jan Kåre Bergland
