She was born 10 May 1877, somewhere in Norway and died 16 Dec 1956 in Tulare, California. She married my Arnesen family but not until she moved to Minnesota. She emigrated about 1882, 1883 or 1884 (1900, 1910, 1920 census) That is all the info I have on her. I can't seem to find her in any records until after she married John Arneson. If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated.

I believe she had a brother, Peter Kristoffer Hauge, b 4 Oct 1873. In one census it shows 1885, in another 1882.

Thank you.

Tami

From the scanned churchbooks you will find from the marriage that Kristen was a schoolteacher, came from the farm Dyrstad and his father was Kristen Markussen (who was born in 1805 and died April 11 1879, Kristens mother was Ane Berntsdatter, born in 1810 and married Christen July 5 1829. Kristen Markussens parents were Marcus Rasmussen and Magdeli Christensdatter)

Anne Dorthea "Hælesdatter" (Helgesdatter) came from the Hauge farm where her father Hæle (Helge) Mathiassen was the user (owner?).
You will also find that Synneve Marthea born May 10, was baptized July 15 1877. Her siblings were born and baptized as follows
Kristen Severin, May 14, June 28 1868
Amalia, Jan 18, March 27 1870
Henrik Johan, Jan 9, March 28 1872 (the father Kristen Kristensen is now a farmer at the Hauge farm)
Peder Kristoffer, Oct 4, Nov 9 1873
Martea Rasmine, July 10, Aug 1 1875
Aletta Kristine, April 6, May 18 1879
Mathilde Bertine Oline, March 2, April 18 1881 (the father Kristen Kristensen is now a farmer at the Hauge farm and a storekeeper)
Kristen Kristensen moved out from the Hauge farm May 2 1882 with the intention to emigrate to USA. (His brother Bernt Andreas Kristensen had moved out of the farm Dyrstad March 31 1882 and emigrated April 14 on the Allan line to USA.)
