I m looking for information on the above ship as I don't have the correct name I have given all. I believe that it may be the Golden Marie and it left Svelvig Norway on 2 April 1880 bound for Quebec. I would be greatful for any information on this ship as I believe that it was he ship that my great grandfather left norway on his way to Australia. Thank you all for your time.

The correct name for this ship is "Golden Horn" I have just had an email from Gilbert Provost. The ship was commissioned in Kristiansand in 1877. KI would be very greatful for any information.

GOLDEN HORN
Wooden hulled, ship rigged vessel of 1114 tons net register, built at
Wiscasset, Maine, USA in 1854. Dimensions 191.3ft x 38.2ft x depth 22.6ft.
Quarter deck 56ft in length, Official number 29794, signal flags QHDG.
Acquired by Houlder Bros & Co in 1861. Traded to Australia, East Indies and
China. Sold in 1876 to A.P.Anderson, Moss, Norway. Wrecked in March 1900.
