On the right side of the page, 6 down in the first column, there is a Børge born to parents Ole Børgessen and Anne Larsdatter. Can anyone tell me the date he was born? It was in 1770, but I can't read it very well. It took me a long time to find this record and I can't read it!

I appreciate the help. Thank you!

I have another one! Torger Danielsen was born on 17 Nov 1711 to Daniel Torgerssen. Does it list his mother's name anywhere in the list of names following? He's the 2nd one down from the heading November on the right side of the page.

I know it's not about Børge, but I really didn't want to start another topic when it was pretty much the same thing.....reading/translating a birth record for me!

Thank you!

Tami,
Børge was christened August 5. 1770. Above you will find Ole christened on Sunday August 5. and in the following baptism you will find Jeremia, she was christened August 12.

Torgers mother is not mentioned (which was normal), his father Daniel lived on farm Settre? (the Stryn-Olden area?) but they was likely godparents some times and might there be mentioned as Daniel og ? Settre. If not, you has to find their wedding-records.

Thank you, Kåre!! Appreciate the help. Both of these records were in Gloppen. I looked for the wedding records and I couldn't find anything....not that the records from a little over 200 years ago are easy to read!!

Again, thank you for your help!

Look at this beautiful marriage record in Gloppen Julius 19. 1708, right page. It was Daniel´s wife Malene Knudsdatter who was from Settre.

They also got one son. Ole, bap. 1709-10

You probably know that Daniel Torgersøn, Settre had a son Anders baptized Jan 31 1714, a son Niels baptized Oct 25 1716, a son Knud baptized Dec 4 1717, a new Knud baptized June 2 1720 (the first Knud had probably died) and a son Ole Dec 3 1722 (the first Ole had probably died).
