My grandfather Mikkel Korneliusen Motrøen arrived in New York from Norway on October 17, 1904. He sailed on Hekla II. I am unable to find his passenger records. I would apprecriate any information that would help me. Thank you. Beverly Brown

Hi Beverly

The Hekla departed from Copenhagen on Sep. 28th, called at Kristiania (Oslo) on the 29th, Kristiansand on the 30th and arrived at New York on October 16th. You should be able to find this list on the Ellis Island site, or on film from NARA. To find out more, read the article "Hunting Passenger Lists" (link below)
