Under din tugtende

Belave os till at mode

Not sure of some words. Is it a song or Bible verse?
Appreciate any help on all or part of the quotation.

Hi,
Could it be written: Vi ved ikke hvem der nedst maa følge. Under din tugtende hand. En maad Vere først. Saa lad oss alle belage os till at møde Vor Gud.

We don´t know who is
next to follow.
Under your strictly
hand. One has to be
first. So let us all
be prepared to meet
our lord.

Kåre

Thank you so much for the quick reply. I think that you are correct.
It was very difficult to read the letters on the 100-yr old tombstone.
It does not sound like a Bible verse.
Does anyone know if it is from a song or Norwegian poem?
