I have posted earlier that there were more than one couple Ole Olsen and Martha Johannesen in the Haus parish - this was an indication that Ole born in 1813 and Marthe born in 1822 probably was not the parents of Thomas Olsen born in Oct 1848.
When the LDS records use the name Olav and Olavsen this is the same as Ole Olsen. (Ole, Oluff, Ola, Olav, Olaus, Olaves - same name) The parish records refered to under all use Ole Olsen.
Ole (Olsen) Hovden and Marta (Johannesdatter) Smaaland is most likely the real parents of Thomas. They were married June 22 1828, see #18 here http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=11485&idx_id=11485&uid=ny&idx_side=-170
Oles father was Ole Michelsen (who was married to Magdeli Johannesdatter and lived at Hovden) and Martas father was Johannes Hansen (who was married to Ingeborg Einarsdatter and lived at Smaaland)
Ole and Marta had the following children: Magdeli, born Dec 19 1829, baptized Dec 25 1829, Ingeborg, born Sept 8 1833, baptized Sept 15 1833, Ole, born Nov 18 1838, baptized Dec 25 1838, Anna, born Dec 3 1841, baptized Jan 1 1842, Johannes, born June 30 1845, baptized July 20 1845, Thomas (of this topic), born Oct 26 1848, baptized Jan 1 1849 and finally Marta, born June 5 1853, baptized July 3 1853. (all children can be found in the scanned parish records of Haus)
The scanned record for Haus can be used for parents and siblings back to 1700.
