looking for mathias kleven .born in norway in nordre fron on23.3 1881.emmigrated to canada between 1920 and 1925 i think..a name called port arthur is maybe a place he went.thanks tor olestad

What was his patrononymic name? He should be in the police protocols but without more information it is very hard to know who to look for.

Is he from Nord-Fron in Oppland?

He would have been in his 40's when he emigrated, was he married/with children? If so, what were there names?

Perhaps this can make a search for others in the US records easier.

His parents was Kristian Andersen Sveen and Mari Ivarsdatter Opsalsløkken,so he might also be in the US protocols as Mathias Kristiansen, Mathias Sveen or Mathias Opsalsløkken.

Are you sure about his last name was Kleven when he emigrated to USA?
Are Sveen or Opsalsløkken well known names for you?
Perhaps he changed to Kleven later?
