Hello!
Fun to got contact with Clark who is a relative of me!
I looked at Ancestry.com and found Karelius Hanson, born 1862, with parents Hans Eriksen Duelien and Maren Olsdt. Hellerud. That was under "One World Trea", but I have trouble yet to came longer at Ancestry. Can some help and look at more date about Karelius? May where he lived in USA?

Tami, Click on the underlined "livtjern" in the left column next to one of her above postings. You will then be offered a link to a previous thread about the same man that has that information in it.
Liv, posters to the Rootsweb mailing list for Norway might include persons who have a FULL subscription to Ancestry.com. You'll find a link to be able to join them here - http://www.rootsweb.com/~norway/NorwayList.htm At the time of your first posting they won't know anything about this man - so be sure and give them the important identifying details. |

Hi!
It's Ramsey in Minnesota Karelius Hanson lived, but I'm not sure if he was the right person I'm looking for.
I found him at Minnesota Naturalization Record Index 1854 - 1957 at Ancestry.com.

Hi Liv,
I had been looking at the passenger lists for the White Star Line for April 1882 and there is one that I haven't found on Ancestry yet and that is the SS Britannic, that arrived in New York from Liverpool on April 29, 1882, though some reports say April 30, 1882. I've found other sailings for the SS Britannic, but not in April of 1882.
I'll keep looking. Hope you had a wonderful vacation and I'm glad you got in touch with Clark. Take care, Wanda |

Hello!
I found 1 Karelius Hansen in Grand Forks, ND!
Here:
url="http://dp.lib.ndsu.nodak.edu/cgi-bin/NaturalRec/search.pl....
It was standing:
Karelius Hansen, date 07.04.1883, 1. papers, Grand Forks, ND, volume D5, page 313. (Naturalization Record,) What is Naturalization meaning?
(Karelius emigr. from Norway 07.04.1882, same date as over - not same year?)
Can this man be Karelius Hanson who I'm looking for?
In Norway he used Hansen.

Hi Liv,
Naturalization papers would mean that he was applying to become a citizen of the United States. There may be some interesting information on his naturalization papers, or not. I've been trying to find my great grandfather's papers and haven't been able to, yet.
That very well could be him and the naturalization papers would at the very least, have his birthdate, which should make it easier for you to tell if it's him.
Sorry I didn't find the ship that he came over on. I still think the SS Britannic is a good bet, but I can't find the ship list for it.
Take care, Wanda |

I've tried to look after the ship SS Britannic, too, but not found any interesting info, it use to be so, when you are looking for something.
