Hi I don't know if this should fit seperatly or be here, but can someone givive some background on Gunner Olsen, the man who married Petra Severson/Simonsen?

Details would be most helpful.
Do you have birth dates / marriage date / locations? In Norway? In the USA?
Without such information, it is like trying to find John Smith's marriage to Jane Doe.

Clark, He got married to my ancestor, Petra Severson, in the years following 1881 when my family Enevold Severson emigirated to Winnebago County, Iowa.
This was the second marriage for Gunner and the first for Petra, who left Norway under the last name Severson, but took the maiden name Simmisen when she got married.
