What does the Ship ID # mean on this website ? I'm looking at ships arriving from Norway in 1864, specifically, the bark Nordlyset arriving in Quebec on June 16th. There is a Lars Olsen on board and wanted to see if I can get more information about where he might have come from.

Hello planner

You are actually not the first person to ask about that. The answer is that it is actually something we have placed there just to confuse people

It is just a reference number we use for the database, and probably we should try to make it a hidden feature not to confuse those hoping it is a lead to something more.
