The record indicates he previously resided in "Ladvik".
Emigranter fra Bergen 1874-1930

My guess would that Lavik and Gulen areas in Sogn og Fjordane would where you should search for earlier information.
Can you specify what information you are looking for?

A family lives on one of the farms named Løbø at the time of the 1865 Norwegian census, probably of interest to you -

Thanks for your reply. I already have the information you gave me but I don`t have any information about him after he left Norway, if he got married, had any children or when or where he died, probably somewhere in the US?

He arrived in New York on 27 Apr 1899 on the ship Majestic, which departed from Liverpool, England.

What is his exact birthdate? I found a Gunder in Minnesota, but not sure if it's right.

There is a Gunder T Lohe b Oct 1868 (the census are mistaken a lot) who is a servant (farm laborer) in Lee, Norman, Minnesota. That is why I asked for his birthdate. There is also a Gunder Lobo arriving 8 Jul 1904 on the ship Lake Champlain, departed from Liverpool, England and arriving in Quebec, Canada...maybe he went back to Norway for a visit?

Thanks again for your new information. You have found the right guy, he was home in Norway on a visit in 1904 and left Bergen, Norway on the 23th of june the same year. I didn`t know that his ship was going to Canada, the record I have of this travel says that his destination was Moorhead, Minnesota?

Yes, that is correct. That is what his destination was, however, he stopped in Quebec first then went to Minnesota. I can't find any other Gunder Lobo, but I did find a Gunder Liabo in Aurdal, Otter Tail, Minnesota...year of arrival is wrong, so I'm not sure if it's him or not.

Do you know his birthdate?
