Ole,

I sent an e-mail to the Fresno Historical Society, but haven't heard back from them yet. I inquired about an obituary for Maren J. Peterson. If they have it, you might be able to find out more about her children and grandchildren. They didn't list anything about obituaries on their site, so that's why I contacted them. Their e-mail address is FRHISTSOC@AOL.COM

I'll let you know if I hear anything from them.
Good luck, Wanda

Thank you very much ... all of you.
Maren Johanna Sandberg is a part of a very very old norwegian family ... Benkestock-family ... 5-600 years back in time.
My parents had a family book of this family ... but I don't where it is now. I am still looking for it.

Hi Ole,
was it a private familybook of the noblefamily Benkestok your parents owned or a public published edition?

Perhaps Tore Hermundsson Vigerust can help you, he has doe a great work concerning Benkestokk.

More information about Benkestokk you will find here

I think the book was a public published edition.
About 1 inch thick ... with serveral hundreds of names ... the first one was living in year 1330 or 1430.

Ole,
I tried sending you an e-mail to let you know that I have Maren Peterson's obituary. Please send me an e-mail through this site and I'll send it to you. Just click on my name Lislcat, to the right and it will take you to my profile and click on e-mail.

I can tell you that Louis Sr died in 1960 and at the time of her death, she had a son, a married daughter and a granddaughter.

Take care, Wanda
