I am looking for the place and date that Albert Nielsen died. His widow Karen Marie Borgensen came to the U.S. with her son Victor P.Nielsen in 1904.They had 4 children, Borger,Sofus,
Karen Albertine & Victor and lived in Kristiana. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Their registration in the emigration protocol for Olso/Kristiania will give some vital added information. Karen Marie born about 1849 and the son Victor born about 1893.

They list their previous residence as having been Olso/Kristiania and she lists herself as a widow - so her husband died before 20 May 1904. Now can we find them in 1900 census and see the status of the family and their residence....

1900 Norwegian census - Albert is still living and the family is found living on Jens Bjelkes Gade 12.

Thank you for your information. I had found this information before but cannot find when and where Albert died.
For your information Karen Marie died not far from me in Haddonfied,New Jersey on Dec.22, 1922 and is buried in Haddonfield Cemetery. I also found where Sofus and Borger were in Philadelphia, Pa. and Karen Albertine was in New Jersey. I am just at a dead end on Albert the father.

The record of Alberts death, Sept 21 1903, is found in Petrus parish in Oslo, see #141
He was born in Stockholm, Sweden in 1839, had his own barbershop and was living in Sverdrupsgade 6 (Sverdrups street). He died of cancer.

Most likely the Sofienberg cemetery (close to the Sofienberggate - Sofienberg street) with the Petrus church. I am not familiar with the cemetery and whether you will find a tombstone from 1903 there. Some of the descendants would in case be responsible for the upkeeping and payment to the parish.
