Hi Mette,

In the 1900 United States Federal Census for Dunn county, Wisconsin; there is a record of one Ole Anderson, born ca 1859.

Maybe someone could look him up and check his imigration year and the people he is living with...?

I think I found the Ole Anderson that Jan Peter was talking about....but he was born in Oct 1858 and emigrated about 1882.

I found an Ole A Honaas (or a variation of it) born in Aug 1858 but he emigrated around 1880. He is in Elk Mound, Dunn, Wisconsin.

Is there anyone in the family that used that last name?

Tami

Hi All,
I'd just like to add that if he settled in the Menominee area, it's a beautiful part of Wisconsin. The University of Wisconsin-Stout is in Menominee and a river goes through the city, that widens into a lake, with large hills around the area. I always enjoy driving through Western Wisconsin.

In the 1900 census in Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota, there is an Ole N Anderson born Aug 1857 emigrated around 1878, married to Carrie born Feb 1863 in Sweden....children are: Mabel b Jan 1888, Annie R b Jun 1889, Florence O b Jun 1892, Helen L b Dec 1896, and Roy W b Feb 1898. I don't know for sure if this is your Ole, but everything seems to match.

All the children were born in Minnesota and it looks like Ole and Carrie were married for 14 years, so about 1886.

In the 1895 Minnesota census, Ole is listed as O M Anderson.

In the 1920 census, they're still living in Minneapolis with Anna R age 30, and Ray W age 21.
