Does anyone have a link that would help to interpret a translation printed in 1890 in the Budbæreren which was the official Norwegian paper of the Hauges Lutheran Synod of the Midwest part of the USA? It uses a very old style of printing. I have a .pdf copy of a scanned biography written by my great uncle, Heikki Sarvela that we are attempting to translate. Thank you for any help you can give us.
Try Internet search for Fraktur. There are charts online giving letter equivalents. But Fraktur (Gothic) was done in a number of different font styles -- all with basic similarities through its long long history.
An attempt to translate this document has been made, but there are still questions about some of the words and I think the translator missed a sentence. Would someone be willing to look at the original and the translation and finalize it for me? It is only a few pages.
