I cannot read where Anne is from either on the death certificate or the arkivet. Can anyone please help?
http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=7934&uid=ny&idx_side=-212
lefthand page, #5
It starts with D and it is in Heddal, Telemark.

I am pretty sure they are Ole Johnsen´s parents. Here is Ole getting married and father John is now at Liene, as it says on Ole´s death cert:
http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=5960&uid=ny&idx_side=-297
lefthand page, #2

Any advice on how to make sure this is the right connection would be greatly appreciated.

Duverud is the name of the farm they are both listed as residing on at the time of their marriage. That scanned record is their marriage record.

Page 367 of "Hitterdals-Boken: Gaarde og Slegter", by O.H. Holta says Anne Hansdatter, bapt. 6/4/1800, married 11/5/1824 to John Olsen Duverud, 28 years old.

To verify connection the birth/baptismal record for Ole Johnsen would be preferable - it might list names of both parents. Ole's marriage record says he is 28 when he marries, therefore born about 1828 - search the birth/baptismal records for that time period. Edited out because I feel Jan Peter is probably correct below.

I think Ole's age says 27¼ from the marriage record of 05-Apr-1859, thus born ca Dec 1831.

#5, Born Dec-17-1831, chr 01-Jan-1832, Ole, parents Jon Olsen & Anne Hansdr, Lien under Aase

John Olsen & Anne Hansdr also had a girl named Bergit, christened 11 Feb 1838 in Heddal, Telemark.
The family then lived at Liene farm in Aase schooldistrict, Hiterdal parish.

Thank you so very much. That is absolutely my great great great grandfather. I had his birth date from the death certificate. I swear I do not know how you all surf the archives so easily. You are amazing. And I need to study more. Thank you again.

Thank you.

I also found the census record at farm Øgaarn all by my lonesome last night, but I looked my eyes out trying to find the birth of Ingeri or Ingri Nielsd anywhere in Heddal around 1772. Is Malass in Heddal?

Can you please help me find the birth record for John Olsen, born about 1797, possibly in Bradsberg, Heirdal, Telemark? I believe his father was Ole Kjostolsen (from 1840 marriage to Ligne Gregarsd Bamberg). I tried but did not find anything conclusive. Maybe he is not even from Telemark.

It is here
right hand page, 7th from the top, he was born April 9 and baptized April 17 1797 and his father was Ole Kjøstolvsen at the Langeskaat farm i Søland, Hjartdal, Telemark.
By the way his second wifes given name was Signe.

"Langeskatt" was the name of a 'plass' attached to the Lia farm in Sauland, Hjartdal. There were several Lia farms in Sauland.
I'm checking the bygdebok - will respond if anything interesting found.

The 1801 census - (great spelling! )
1801

Respect. How do you find these things?!? With spelling like that it is like watching you pull a rabbit out of your hat.
