My great-great grandmother's family tree stops with a French title. Can any shed any light on this?

My great grandfather Ludvig Mikal Jakobsen 1854-1945
His mother Louvise Martine (no last name) 1824-1913 from Åmdal (Lista, Vanse parish) Married 1850 to Jakob Andreas Bergeson
Louvise Martine's mother Malene Margrethe Jakobsdtr from Vettland 1783 - 1872
Malene Margrethe's mother Magdalena Nikolaisdtr from Åmdal 1747 - 1788
Magdalena's father Monsieur Nicolai Salvesen from Scheime (today's Skeime I assume) married 1746 to Malene Margrethe Petersdtr Brønning

A person addressed as ”Mon.” or ”Monsieur” was a gentleman or lord.

It was used in Denmark and Norway in the 17. and beginning of the 18. century to address a person of rank.
A "person of rank" in this matter would be a distinguished man, a nobleman, a titled gentleman etc.
My guess: Most likely, Monsieur Nicolai Salvesen was an owner of a major property / farm in the area. He could also be engaged in the local council of the parish..., or he could be a major local trader.

Ludvig is born 19 Dec 1853.

Louvise Martine's last name is Leonhardsdtr.

In 1865, Louvise Martine is re-married with a man named Abraham M Toresen, and living at the Uddal farm in Vanse.

Bernt Kristian (15) & Ludvig Mikal (13) are her sons with Jakob Andreas Bergesen.

Jakob Andreas (7) & Oline Amalia (5) are her children with Abraham Mattias Toresen.

Louvise & Abraham also had these daughters, according to LDS:
Laurentse Andrea born 19 Sep 1863, dead 17 Dec 1863.
Andrea Martine 15 Feb 1867, dead 25 Feb 1867.
