I am trying to research my wife's Grandfather, Charles Nathan STRONG. He "went to sea" about 1893 and "came ashore" in 1927. We have some spoons inscribed MONARCH STEAMSHIP COMPANY and OCEAN MONARCH, and it would be good to ascertain if he served in this ship. C.N.Strong frquently told his granddaughter of his being shipwrecked off Pensacola, Florida.
We should love to have a record of what ships Strong served in, which ports they served, and possibly a picture of one of these ships. If anyone can help, we should be very grateful.
