Links from http://fylkesarkiv.no/ don't work, but among the probate records for indre sogn, the place Wengum becomes Wenjum. On May 15, 1762, we find the will of Iver (Iwer) Erichsen with the following:

Personar i skiftet :
(1) Giertru Jensdatter Enken
(2) Erich Iwersen 12 Aar Søn
(3) Anne Iversdatter 5 Aar Datter
(4) Kisti Iwersdatter 4 Aar Datter
(5) Berthe Iwersdatter 1/4 Aar Datter
(6) Boets gjeld Kreditor
***(7) Tosten Johansen Alme Formynder for Erich
(8) Lasse Heggestad Formynder for Kisti
(9) Iwer Pedersen Huusum Formynder for Jens
(10) Lage Otthesen Kieringnæs Formynder for Anne
(11) Johannes Tuftene Formynder for Luchri
(12) Jens Iwersen 6 Aar Søn
(13) Luchriie Iwersdatter 14 Aar Datter
(14) Giertru mor Jensdatter Formynder for Berthe
(15) Iwer Tang Formynder for Peder
(16) Peder Iwersen 1 1/2 Aar Søn

Like I said, locations of witnesses help me connect some of the dots.

Do we get to blame those muddled parish records on him? LOL

I think you can...

Ole Mauritius Schweder served in Hafslo parish. He was a Minister in Hafslo from 1756, then a senior rector from 1776. So he's probably behind the writing for the records between 1756-1781.

Being a priest, quite funny that his mother was "gay"... Christine Jensdatter Gay...

That is funny. There just are not enough fields in most databases, specially when you mix German & Scandinavian names. By the 19th century, a lot of Germans had a couple of "middle" names & they weren't always known by the first name in the string. Ole Mauritius Schweder may have been known as Mauritius & his mother may have really, really been Gay.

Jan Peter, thank you for the corrections. The abbreviation is more likely Gm meaning gemalinde? it is used several places.
I also found Oklevik as a Hafslo farm. I tend to think that the farm Lille -- is Lille Botnen (Boten not Baten) would you agree?

I think Rasmus' farm is Bathen lille. There are 3 Bathen farms, lille, midtre & store.

A lot of familiar farmnames on this map:

Alme, Lomheim, Venjum (red dot), Kalhagen, Okleviki...
Bathen is 6-7 km east of Venjum.
