I found a family book with the following excerpt
"Tiltrem is located on the Norwegian Sea near Jossund, southwest of Afjord. Teksdal and Aastoa are not directly on the water, but are inland a few miles."

I looked on a map and thought it was spelled
Aasloa---can someone tell me which is correct?

It most likely is Aastøa or Åstøa.
If you can use this map
SØK - Åstøa (Gårdsbruk), Bjugn, Sør-Trøndelag.
and with the right zoom you will see both Åstøa and Teksdal.

This was a great map and thank you. Really had to zoom in to see Aastoa and got lost once out in the ocean. Made it back to shore.
