| I am looking for information on my ggrandmother and her family. I always knew her has Inga Ida Moen, on her marriage certificate her maiden name is down as Ida Mikkelson. Her obit says her family came over in 1869 and that she was born in 1864 in Sor Audral Norway. Her fathers name was Harold or Haro. |

It could be that her father was Harald Mikkelsen on Kristiansmoen, in case Inger (Inga) was born Oct 14 1861 - Karine (Ida) was born April 21 1864. See

I've been looking, but haven't found anything yet.
I've checked Søndre Aurdal with every combination that I can think of, but can't find a household with the name combos you've given us.
Sør Audral in is the Oppland Fylke. |

Harald Mikkelsen and Maria Olsdatter married Febr 16 1846, see #3
His father was Mikkel Johnsen and her father Ole Halvorsen.
Harrald was born April 7 1816, se #36
parents Mikkel Johnsen, Piltingsrud eie and Marit Harraldsdatter.
Maria was born Aug 9 1819, see #37
her parents were Ole Halvorsen Piltingsrud and Gunnild Halsteensdatter.
Mikkel Johnsen and Marit Harraldsdatter married Oct 14 1810, see #3 from bottom of left hand page here
Marit Haraldsdatter was baptized June 23 1788, see #3 from bottom of left hand page here
her parents were Harald Torstensen Sørlie and Gunil Thorsdatter.
Michel was baptized March 19 1785, see #8 from bottom of right hand page here
his parents were Joen Michelsen Hougsrudeie and Kari Biørnsdatter.

Joen Michelsens baptismal record of Sept 29 1750 is #7 from the top, left hand page here
his parents were Michel Joensen Hogsrud and Agathe Johansdatter.
Kari Bjørnsdatters baptismal record is #3 from the top on the left hand page here
her parents were Biørn Jørgensen and Siri Erichsdatter.
Harald Torstensen was a widower when he married Gunil Thorsdatter Aug 21 1887. Gunil was his 3rd wife.
Gunnild Thorsdatter was baptized March 22 1760, see #7 from the top on right hand page here
parents were Thor Thorkildsen Iljanstad and Gunnild Guulsdatter.
Harald Tostensen was baptized Jan 1 1743, see #5 from the top on left hand page here
his parents were Tosten Tostensen Eerstad and Siri Ellingsdatter.

Gunild was baptized June 22 1800, see #4 from the top left hand page here
her parents were Halstein Abrahamsen Nærby and Marit Gulbrandsdatter.
Ole was baptized Sept 1 1793, see #3 from top on right hand page
here
his parents were Halvor Pedersen and Anne Nielsdatter. |

Is Hedal and Hedalen the same place and was kristainmoen a farm. Did all the baptism's take place at the Hedal church.

The valley is normally called Hedal, when the church is listed this is often done in the definite form Hedalen.
Yes, Kristiansmoen is still a farm you can find on a map- try this http://www.1881.no/Map/ - fill in Kristiansmoen and click on SØK.
In most cases it was the Hedal - or Hedalen church, it is normally indicated in the parish records. |

Valdres is a district consisting of the following parishes:
Aurdal (divided in Sør-Aurdal and Nord-Aurdal) here you find the parish of ease Hedal
Etnedal
Slidre (divided in Vestre Slidre and Øystre Slidre)

| I just found a site on the net that has my family history starting with Kind Harald of Norway up to the day my ggrandma left for America in 1865. Is it possible that information could be accurate. |

Sorry, Its the first King Harald of Norway back in 865. I have found many sights linking him to my family, the sites have many sources. I do know that there are 1st and 2nd sources and these sites contain both. The skunke family and GVC Young are listed and another one is the Macintosh family.
Is it possible to find any information on Carl Jensen Jaemte born abt 1500 in Oppland.
