Anders Olsen, born 18.11.1849 in Nordre Land, Oppland County, emigrated to USA 25.05.1877. He travel with the boat Angelo from Oslo to Hull. I believe he go from Liverpool 31.05.1877 with the boat SS Brittannia to New York OR SS Sardinian to Quebec. He had Forth Dodge in Iowa as destination. I like to find him on the passenger list. Can anyone help me with that?

Regards

S/S Britannic from the White Star Line arrived New York on June 11th, 1877 with 563 passengers. The passenger list does not contain any "Anders Olsen". There is one "Anders Olaen" on the list, but he is listed as Swedish, and born 1861.
The following are listed as Norwegians on that arrival.

Mathew Pedersdot  1818
Maria C Anderson  1822
Johanna L Johnson 1837
Johanna Elg       1837
Peter Poulsen     1838
Maria Olson       1847
Ole Mikkelson     1847
G A Ekman         1855
Oatrn Pederson    1857
Berit Jacobsen    1857
Peder Evensen     1859
Hans J Lokken     1859
Migs Johnson      1859
Joseph Johnson    1870
Theodore Johnson  1873

Your Anders might not be indexed as "Norwegian", but I could not find him at all, so I don't think he was on that ship.

I believe he must have taken one of these two ships:
S/S Nova Scotian, dept Liverpool 1877-05-29, arrival Halifax 1877-06-08
S/S Sardinian, dept Liverpool 1877-05-31, arrival Quebec 1877-06-09

Thanks, Jan Peter!
Well, thats mean we can preclude SS Brittannia. Is it possible to take a check at SS Nova Scotian and SS Sardinia too?
