I found the marriage record of some Norwegian ancestors and I need help deciphering the location for the woman's vaccination. The record is here:

http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=8457&idx_id=8457&uid=ny&idx_side=-159

It is the last record, #14, on the page...Antonius Hansen marrying Anne Elizabeth Hansdatter. I have not been able to find Anne's confirmation record and was hoping I could trace where she might have been beforecoming to Bragernaes.

Does anyone have any ideas what the location was for her vaccination....which appears to have occurred just a year or so before the marriage?

Hi,
Antonius was from Kongsberg town and Anne Elizabeth was from Drĝbak parish, both in Buskerud county.
Actually I live in Kongsberg.

Of course it should have been Akershus county for Drĝbak, Einar.
I was on a quick trip to the wrong side of Oslofjord.

I saw my first "spark" in Kongsborg. That was in February 1985. Are those little sleds still in use in Norway. By the way, we really enjoyed the community in our travels to Valle and Kristiansand.

Yes the spark still are in use, but not in the same numbers as before, perhaps because of the winters, less snow and more gravel on the roads.

In the 50-60ts we had competitions, 8 boys on each Spark dowhill, about a Mile, the main road from Drammen, "watchmen" looking for cars by every road cross, it liklely went well because of good fortune.

Do you have the origin for Antonius Hansen, Kongsberg goes back to 1624 where the silver was "found"?

Antonius was an "uĉgte" child born Oct 1 1818 and baptized Nov 29 1819, see #8
his mother was Maren Antoniusdatter and the father was Hans Nielsen.
