Amazing what can be found when you have enough names, I made a search on Bakken and Ĝrland and came up with this next.

Ole Amundsan Bakken was from sub farm Langĝra under the cadastral farm Bakken, clik on farm no 4. langĝra, top left hand, and read more from the people who lived there.
Most of the information from the local bygdebok is in Norwegian.

Ole Amundsen was a widower when he married Olava Jensdatter in 1816, his first wife was Ane Andersdatter, two sons Amund and Anders, he lived as a fisheman on farm Rċkvċg inn Stjĝrna sub parish in Bjugn municipality in 1801, he was born about 1768 and died Sept. 9. 1829, Olava died March 25. 1869.

2. Child is your Anton married to Sigrid Knudsdatter Terningen, children: Casper born 1845, your Oline Jĝrgine born 1847, Ane born 1850 and Johan Peter born 1855.

Ĝrland is a major Air Force Base to the Royal Norwegian Air Force today

This was all I could find on Sverres father and his forefathers, his mother Marie Tobeassen was from Flakstad municipality in an area called Lofoten in Nordland county.

Do you want to see if we can find her parents?

This is scary my last name is Jensen from my father's side of the family that i haven't posted yet .I am waiting for a family member to send me the information on them. My grandfather came here from Norway in the early 1900's he married my grandmother here Caroline Larsen in New York . My Grandfather's name was Peder Jensen Sandvik but when he intered the U.S. he dropped Sandvik. I was thinking that he dropped it because it was a farm name where his family lived
