I have an aunt who's name is Ada Johanne Woldseth born in Trondheim Norway on April 17, 1919, died in Brooklyn New York USA.
My mother said she was adopted in Norway. Can you find out anything about her?
- late answer, but maybe worth while.

Ada Johanne Wolseth is most likely Ada Johanne who was born out of wedlock April 17 1919, see #59. Her father was unmarried cigarshop owner Ingar Bakke (1889) and the mother unmarried girl Julie Alvilde Johannesen (1892).

Not sure where to post this, but...

I've been trying to solve this Robert question-- Otto and Ethel's "missing" brother. Is it possible that he is the Robert Edgar on this page: http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?show=75&uid=89951&urnread_imagesize=gigant&hode=nei&ls=1&lc=x%259CK%25B42%25B2%25AA.%25B62%25B4R%25CAT%25B2.%25B62%25B1R2%25B442%25051%2581B%25C5J%25D6%2599V%25E6%25A6%25D6%25B5%2500%25BF%25D4%2509%25BF? From the pictures, he doesn't look that much older than my Grandpa, but... ? The listing shows the mother as Margareta Hansen (Johannesdatter) Krossoy. Anna Valseth and Karen Hanssen are listed as godparents, so that is why I am thinking I am on the right path. Any of this sound familiar?

The image below is a printed version of a letter received by my g-grandfather Olaf H. Solem, the Cunard Line agent in Trondheim. It was signed by Emil Woldseth with family and Ethel Woldseth. Their last residence in Norway was at a place called Leangen in Trondheim.
