Back in 2007 I received help from this forum on the Krogstads who emigrated in 1870. Little info on two of the children Andreas and Carl Bernhart were found.
I have now found that Carl Bernhart, born 1865 in Drammen, Norway died 1948 in Vancouver, Clark County, Washington and was married to Clara M. who died in 1957 in Bellingham, Whatcom County, Washington. Any more info on this family would be appreciated.
The info I have on Andreas, born 1840 at Krogstad, Eiker Norway is that he was in the Civil war - "MN 2nd Inf Co E. Residence: Heland Post Office, Minnesota. Born in Drammen, Norway. Civil War: Age 24. Substitute. Mustered 20 Oct 1864. Private. Discharged from the service with his regiment, 11 Jul 1865. Post war: Lived at Kalama, Washington".
Any more info on Andreas would be appreciated.

There is a likely "Andrew Krogstad" listed in Elk City area of Lincoln County, Oregon for the 1900 US census. Lists birthdate as Nov 1840 in Norway, immigrated 1860, not married and works as farmer.

Thank you Hopkins.
Yes, that must be him, sorry I did not give the birth info, he was born Nov 17 1840. I have also recorded his death to be in Oregon in 1919, do not know where I got that.
I have also now found that he left Lier outside of Drammen in May 1860.
