My name is Tom Pluff (new to site). I am trying to find more information on two of my ancestors and the ships they may have come in on. I have not been able to find much to work with and I am hoping for ideas. Would anyone have information on the following.
Andreas Larsen Haakenstad b.10/21/1828 Ringsaker, Hedmark, Norway d. 7/29/1917 Dane, Wisconsin
Arrived U.S. 1887
Andreas Anderson b. 7/18/1820 Oppland, Norway d.Jan. 1860 Christiana, Dane, Wisconsin.
Would anyone have any ideas or information on them or where I may find information.

By the time of the 1865 Norwegian census it would appear that both these men would probably be married and have children in Norway. What names for the wives, the children?

I checked the 1865 Norwegian census and found three Anders/Andreas Larsen named men living in Ringsaker area of Hedmark with listed birthyears within a reasonable margin of error for what you state you are looking for.
http://www.rhd.uit.no/folketellinger/ftliste_e.aspx?ft=1865&knr=0412&kenr=013&bnr=0065&lnr=000

http://www.rhd.uit.no/folketellinger/ftliste_e.aspx?ft=1865&knr=0412&kenr=019&bnr=0082&lnr=000

But if your "Andreas Larsen Haakenstad" was not living in Ringsaker in 1865.....

Hopefully you'll find more detailed information about Andreas Anderson -- the 1865 census shows at least 7 possible matches in Oppland and that was without allowing for birthyear variations expected.

The family of Andreas Larsen lives on the "Haagenstad" farm in Vardal, Oppland at the time of the 1865 Norwegian census. Compare to what is listed for family on the US 1900 census for Dane Co. WI.

The second child Petra was born Febr 27 1860, see #42
The parents were now married.

Andreas did pass away in Christiana, Dane, Wisconsin (29 July 1917). I know he arrived in the U.S. in 1887 at age 59. I have no information on his parents. I am hoping to find the ship he came in on and possibly his parents.

Wasn't that Andreas Larsen? In your first posting, you said that Andreas Anderson died Jan. 1860 in Christiana, Dane, Wisconsin...

The names of the wives are:
Karen Neilsdatter (12/13/1818-May 1860)--Andreas Anderson
Agnetta Jensdatter (11/29/1837-8/2/1918)--Andreas L. Haakenstad

I do have the children but little on the parents and nothing about how they arrived.

That was Andreas Larson in my first posting. The name appears twice in the information we have and I am trying to verify/sort the individuals. My Aunts records have one on my Grandfathers line and another on a Grandmothers line two generations earlier.

Andreas Larsens baptismal record is #13
he was baptized Dec 16 and his parents were Lars Larsen and Pernille Iversdatter, Syljuberget.
The marriage record for Andreas and Agnete is #27
Agnetes father was Jens Hansen and her mother from the 1865 census was Berte Jonsdatter.
The baptismal record for Agnethe shows that she was an "uægte" child, her mother also had an "uægte" son born in Christiania in 1827, his name was Johan Christiansen. Her father was a shoemaker.
The baptismal record for Berthe Joensdatter is #26
her parents and Agnetes grandparents were Joen Joensen Grefseng and Anne Pedersdatter.
The marriage record for Lars Larsen and Pernille Iversdatter is #157
they married July 8 1819, Lars was 25 years old and a servant on Syljuaasen. Pernille was 21 years old and a servant on Larsbakken.
Her baptismal record is #9 from the top on right hand page
her parents were Iver Halvorsen, Søndre Mælumseie and Gudbiør Pedersdatter.
