Yes Kåre, I have tried twice to indicate that the Karen who was burried Oct 16 1836 (see my posting 04/12/2008 : 20:08:07) was the mother of Karen burried Sept 7 1824 (your posting 04/12/2008 : 10:44:54 and Holly's posting 04/12/2008 : 17:07:33)!

Einar, I have seen that.
So many records in a short periode can be hard to follow sometimes.

Karen (Munthe Rumohr) Reutz (married Adam Reutz) born 1736 when her mother Karen Munthe died lived as former owner and widow on Moe with her daughter Mette in 1801
Still looking for her birth record, perhaps she was christened after her mother was buried.

She died in Hafslo August 29. 1824 on farm Moe as "Gaardmandsenke" Farmers widow, I have corrected my former posting above (.....a pinch of salt), and was buried as you already have written Sept. 7. 1824 #41

I couldn't figure out where you got 1824 Lærdal, 88 years old for the daughter Karen Munthe Rumohr. You had me combing through Lærdal again, to see if there was a record there that I had missed.

The record is in Haflso, age 89.

Now, as to her birth... yes, you showed me where the burial of her mother was & I thank you.

"Maaneder og 2 Dage gl", mother of two day girl?
The birth record of the younger Karen was something that I wasn't seeing. That's why I was still looking for it.

Karen Munthe Rumohr Kreutz was born on Rikheim Tønjum sub parish in Lærdal Oct. 6. 1736.

Still not found her christening record, so take the information with a small pinch of salt, her mother was buried at Tønjum stave church on "Flyttedag" Tuesday Oct. 16. 1736 so because ot that we can assume it is correct.
Rikheim is an old estate/manor belonged to the Rumohr family for 350 years, the oldest part of the house is from 1666.
Lærdal golf club hang out on Rikheim.
