I must apoligse that I provided the wrong dates!
Many Thanks to Hopkins and Elbace for replying. The information is great, However I did make a big mistake with two of the dates.
Thomas Olsen Holmstad on Bark Noman was 1886 ]NOT 1886 from Vang!
Thomas Olsen Bark Noman was also1886.
Sorry about the dates!
I still need information about the vessels owned by the 'Olsen' (then beame later Blue funnel Line) prior to 1886!

Would he been nice if you had stayed on the same topic.

The following is the information that I have,
Thomas Olsen Homlstad sailed on Bark Nomen 1886 born/came from? Vang Hedemarken.
Thomas Olsen passenger Bark Nomen 1886? Residence Vang.

No difference in the dates as I see it. Bark Nomen - Noman - here is the difference.
From where have you got the info?

Nomen... Noman.... you should take some time to make sure you have it right before you post.... the correct spelling is Bark Nornen

Now that the ships name is found to be Nornen on which Thomas Olsen Honlstad 33 years old is listed, I have found that the only Thomas Olsen born 1835 in Vang, Hedmark is #83

THANK You for the replys that you have given me. ALL the information that I have posted has come from the Norway-Heritage site "hands across the sea" I know that it may not be complete but it is all that I have at the moment! I am not trying to waste anyones time but attempting to get back before 1870 when we beleive that Thomas Olsen????? arrived in Australia (passenger/jumped ship) maybe with his brother? We have NO records of the family prior to 1874except for the marrige certificate which only states he was Norwegian but the family was unknown??? Headache u bet

Once again the information was a mistake it should read 1868 NOT 1886.
To Jan I had the name of the ship from this site and therefore assumed it was correct!
