I am looking for help--think 1886 from Trondheim
Edvard and Emily Overaas with children Sigurd (2) and other son called Sam in America---what ship--when? any information

Are you sure they travelled together after marrying in Norway? Here's (the only) Edvard Øveraas who travelled from Trondheim at that time according to Digitalarkivet. He is a batchelor and a laborer...

There is absolutely no married Edvard with a wife called anything like Emily and a child Sigurd in the same database for the years 1885-87 (in case he used his patronymicon)... So it looks like he married in the US...?

Na - He's probably only listed wrong as unmarried, as here's his wife and children:

I don't understand this "quote" thing? But they travelled seperately, he first and she and the children came after, probably when he had settled.
