my grandmother, ane marie torkellsdtr left Skruss-Eikland, Hoyland, Rogaland, in 1880 and arrived in Ames, Iowa the same year. I am seeking information regarding her travel to the US. Any little bit will help. I believe she sailed from Stavangr.

The Stavanger departures are quite hopeless, as the police emigration registers for Stavanger 1867 -> was lost in a fire. This means that you will have to start your search in the other end. Read the article about "Hunting Passenger Lists" to find out more. (Link at the bottom of this page)
