searching for possible descendants of Rolf Martinus Christophersen last record of his whereabouts is his sister's wedding in Arendal Norway in 1863. No other info than these records are known although he was listed as a seaman on the ship Loven in 1858 grateful for any info Don Bolstad

Yes, he was a half brother to Christiana Pedersdatter. Thank you so much for that info. Now we have to find where he went after that as we know nothing about him. He was my great grandmother's half brother. many thanks Don

What would you estimate his birth year as. There are a large number of Rolf Christophersens listed in ancestry.com files but none would appear to have been born long enough ago to be your Rolf Marinus Christophersen.

Is there a farm associated with either of the two parents Christopher Olsen or Peder Salvesen. Perhaps the Øyestad Bygdebok would shed some light on his life.

There is no record of a farm connected to Rolf's father or stepfather and the last record of his whereabouts was his stepsister's wedding I am not very good at searching Norwegian records and can only thank all you very kind people for all your help. We have tried for years to find out more about our ancestry but never knew where to start. Thaks again Don

Ole Lorentzen Wæding and Gunnild Christophersdatter were married July 13 1794 without prior engagement, see 2nd couple left page
They had 3 children at the time of the 1801 census.
