Can you restate and clarify your question above? It is very difficult to try to understand what you have written.

Enok (and the alternate spelling Enoch) is a male name. There are men/boys named Enok or Enoch in the 1801, 1865, 1875 and 1900 databases for those Norwegian censuses.

In another topic you have said "Grandmothers name was Dortea Margreta Olsdatter She was from Litlaland She married John Tonnesen Roth Lived on Rott Island till1902" - do you say that John Tønnesen is your mothers father?
If that is the case should we look for Enok in the Stavanger area?
You say that your grandfathers birth place was/is unknown, if we can have a little more info maybe it is possible to find it.

I have searched for Enok through farmregisters, places, maps, dif. telephone directories etc. without any sucess.
I think your Enok was a male name.
Do you have a name to share with us?

You are welcome Eleanor.

I could look for Enoks parents later today, his father´s was likely Tønnes if the naming was traditional.
Have a wonderful weekend with your family.

I read the parents of Kristian Tønnesen as Arbeider Enok Tønnesen f.1849 og Hustru Olene f. Nilsen 1846.
Enok Tønnesen Jaatten and Olene Nielsen were married Jan 20 1878, see
#5.
Enok was born in Hetland and his father was cottar Kristian Tønnesen.
Olene was born in Ranneberg and her father was cottar Ole Nielsen.
