I am looking for any info on the marriage of Christian Arnesen (or Arneson), b. may 20, 1874, Grue, Hedmark and Milla Augusta Jakobsen (or Jacobsen), b. Oct. 24, 1880, Nittedal, Akershus, and the births of their first four children. It seems likely that they were married sometime between 1900 and 1904 since Milla was on the 1900 census as a single maid servant on the Glømmi farm in Nittedal and their first child, Arthur J. Arneson was born Jun. 29, 1904. Child #2, Olaf, b. Nov. 8, 1906, child #3, Anna, b. Aug. 8, 1908 & child #4, Oscar, b. Apr. 13, 1913. Their residence was listed as Østre Aker, Oslo, Nor. on the ship's register in 1914. I have traced Christian & Milla's ancestors backwards from before 1900 but have not found anything from 1900 forward until they arrived in America. I have the ship's register of the feeder ship they took from Oslo ( Jacobsen Line via Bergen, Aug. 4-5, 1914) but still can't find them on a trans-Atlantic ship's register. They stated their destination as "Minnesota". If anyone can fill in any of the blanks, or point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it!

did you find your information that you wanted?I had been searching for awhile but could not find where Milia + Kristian got married. sometimes the date is found in the children's birth record. but I could only find Oskar's birth rec of 1913.
I did find some emigration records with the ship name of Letitia. I can send this if you want. it has the names of his family and the ship info.

One piece of info can be found in the bapt record for Oscar Magnus Ristian born in 1913, see #14
The family was then living on Sydbraaten, Grorud, Østre Aker.

Hello Peder, sorry I didn't have a chance to respond sooner, I was out of town for a while. I would love any info you have concerning this family. I have not been able to find much since 1900, until they settled in Montana, USA I'm not sure where they lived in Minnesota except where one of their daughters ( Ida Amelia Arneson) was born. Anything you can dig up will be helpful. Thank you for the name of the ship.

Thank you "eibache" for the birth record of Oskar Arneson. It is definitely the correct family. I thought I had combed through every record that was accessible but somehow missed this one. You're amazingly skilled! Thank you, again,
Jeannie A.
