We are trying to confirm the children born to Povel Olsen & Marthe Rolfsdatter of Loiterud, Sandsvaer.
We have:
Ole Povelsen 5 May 1771
Rolv, 6 February 1774
Amund, 11 April 1778
Lars, 11 May 1783
Thor, 5 June 1785
Barbra, 12 February 1786
John, 17 June 1787
Anne, 26 July 1790
On the 1801 census we only have Amund & Barbra home. Do we have 2 Povel Olsens in Lioteroid.
Any help appreciated.
Alan.

Hi, you are right.
We have two Povel Olsen Ljøterud.
Povel Olsen 1750-1835 married to Sigrid Toresdatter on Øvre (Upper) Ljøterud.

John b 1887 and Anne born 1890 was not your Povel Olsen Ljøteud/Rønningen´s children.

Your Povel Olsen also had a daughter Anne bap. Oct. 29. 1775.

For Povel Olsen Rønningen/Ljøterud I have following children;
Ole 1771
Rolf 1774
Anne 1775
Anund 1778
Barbara 1881 (died young)
Lars 1783 (died young)
Barbara 1786
Lars 1789-1794

The "missing" child Rolf married Kristine Larsdatter in 1800 and lived on a sub farm under Øvre (Upper) Dal in 1801.

Just wanted to make a comment on the dates given for each of the cildren, it is the baptismal date, not the birth date.
Amund, 11 April 1778 - baptized 12 April
Barbra, 12 February 1786 - baptized Barbara
Lars, - baptized 17 May 1789, died February 1794.
