I am having a hard time with translating this birth record. I've never seen such a detailed birth record, I can't make most of it out. If someone could take a look at it, and see if it can be translated, I would really appreciate it. It's on the first line, #89, Karl Karlsen, and the #89 is crossed out, and the next entry is #89, I don't understand why they would do that.

Thank you
Source information: Sør-Trøndelag county, Lade in Strinda, Parish register (official) nr. 606A08 (1866-1877), Birth and baptism records 1873, page 123.

It says " Karl Krestian born out of wedlock Oct 6 1873 by the mother maiden Ingeborg Anna Krestiansdatter, born 1846, the birth of the child was in Kristiansund where it was baptized at home, it was brought to Lade in Strinden a month ago, now living at the poor relief house. In Xsund (Kristiansund) ----? (not redable). The childs mother said that the childs father was trading agent Karl Hougan in Kabelvåg Lofoten 24 years old. (The information was given by pastor Kamsvaag in Kristiansund and was based on the girls own statement. The child was her 2nd child born out of wedlock. Reference is made to the 1874 parish register which no longer is available.)

The mother was a servant at Reitgjerdet nursing home in 1875 she provided for her son Karl Kristian who was living in a nursing home.
Ingeborg Anna was born Jan 26 1846, see #18 her parents were Christian Gunerius Christiansen and Marta Andersdatter, Sandtangen.

Thank you so much for taking the time to translate that record, I really appreciate it. Thank you for this other information, it's all making sense now, I had a feeling it was going to be sad about Karl's birth. I don't know if you read my other posting "babies born out of wedlock". My grandmothers first 2 children (with 2 different fathers) were staying with another family, the Dahl’s. I found Karl in the 1900 census living with he Dahl’s, he’s listed as their son, they must have adopted him. My grandfather came back to Norway, after being gone for 9 years. They took my 11 year old aunt, as my grandfather was her father, and they left for America, leaving the 9 year old boy behind. Karl Karlsen is the father of the boy. So it looks like the boy was raised by his grandparents then, and his father, Karl Karlsen, was probably in his life. I feel so much better about this story. Thank you, thank you for help, I really do appreciate this.
