I'm not certain what documents that you have access to, but thought I would give it a try and see if you have any further information than what is available to me here in the U.S. This is what I have:
Erik Neilson/Kari Johannesdatter emigrated in 1856 from Fosshaugen with 2 boys, Niels and Jens. I loose track of them until Minnesota Territorial Census of 1865--names now are Erick Nelson/Mary Nelson with only one son (Niels is now Charles--birthdates confirm). Those 9 years, I can't find them. They may have been in Wisconsin or where? I have searched and searched. Thought that you may have resources that I don't have.
