Hi

Would like to prove this is the right Johannes if poss

Johannes Hansen born 1831,Vinger,Eidskog, Kongsvinger to Hans Jensen Meldalen and Inger Hansdtr Harstad, siblings are Ingerborg died at birth, Olia 1834 and Anne 1837.Johannes went to live in Oslo at some point.

Have found a Johannes Hansen on NHDC 1865 census Municipality Krisriania
Street - Pibervikens Bakkegade
district - Trefoldigheds Menighed
House owner - O.E.Dahl (13 flats)

Johannes shows up as married to Anne Nystedt with children occupation - stentrykker?.

The date of birth and place match, we know Johannes was in Oslo in 1869 as he was godfather to his sister Annes son Harald.

Thanks
Shirley

- since he had 4 children in 1865, all of them born in Kristiania and the oldest one 10 years old, he must have moved from Vinger to Kristiania before 1856.

Hi eibache

I would say that would be right as by 1856 he was 25 years old. I have Vinger parish records 1826-1839 shows his birth/ baptism 3rd Jan 1831. No more info about when he left Vinger.

He was born Jan 3 and baptized Jan 30, see 5th record on left page.
No hit in Vinger for his confirmation (1846 - 1850), the family could have moved out of Vinger before that time.

Hi

I had a copy of that. I have the confirmation of his sister Anne in Vinger parish records 1855 -1861 record no 148 Oct 7 1855, so assume they still in Vinger area.I also have a copy of Eidskog Bygdebok think its volume 2 1985, dont know what date its for but on pg 593 left hand side under heading Andre, all the family are listed except Johannes.

I dont know alot about their movements this is where My 2 x great granmother disappears. She is confirmed 1855 and we dont find her again untill 1867 in Oslo area with birth of son Axel. Anne is the one we have been told was cook in royal kitchen.

Hi

Good news found what I think is marriage on LDS website and it matches

Johanne Hansen married Anne Frederikke Wilhelmine Nystedt on 12 April 1856 at Domkirken, Oslo, Akerhus. It is correct age and father for Johannes and correct age for Anne. It lists her father no mother, is Domkirken the church and Oslo the parish? would like to view record.

Thanks that verifies what I had managed to find earlier today as Im learning to get around the digitalarkivet records. Would the name of Johannes wife be Swedish?

She was Swedish, family name Nystedt is not uncommon in Sweden.
She came from Uddevalla, a town on the west coast of Sweden.
LSD has Johan Fredrik Nystedt married to Anna Catharina Akerblad on
08 DEC 1819 in Alingsås, Älvsborg, Sweden. Could be her parents.
Widow Anne Cathrine Nystedt (most likely née Akerblad) is living in a poor peoples house in 1865 - most likely she was Johannes mother-in-law.
