Kim,
There is a death record on page 81, 14 Jan. 1879 for a Enke Berit (Jansdatter?). born 1798. Found under Nord Trondelag, Sakshaug, Inderoy.

Your inquiry leaves alot to be desired.

Kim,
When you find the person that you are looking for in the digitized parish records, click on the box at the top of the page titled "Image Information" and click on Top. This will give you the source information for that record. Then all you have to do, is copy that source information and list the number of the person in the record. That way, people trying to help you, can use the link provided and go right to the parish record you have listed. Plus, you can then put that source info into your records.

I hope that helps.

Wanda

Have you exhausted research in the bygdebok for Inderøy? I would think that would be a resource that might be very helpful to use in conjunction with the parish church records, etc.

"Inderøyboka: Ei Bygdebok for Inderøy, Rora, og Sandvollan", 3 volumes by Andreas Ystad.

http://homepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~norway/bygdebok.html

You mention "wonderd if he migrated with his mom when his dad died". You found his mother's death record in Norway -- so she did not migrate.

As in ANY record and thing created by humans there are errors in either.

The bygdebøker are secondary rather than primary sources and therefore considered to be usually less reliable on the whole. Some authors did better work than others too.

I use bygdebøker and similar publications when available as an "outline" of family history and then check EACH and EVERY date and event in the more primary records of church, probate, etc. I recommend using BOTH.
