There are 197 records in Ancestry.com alone for Olaf Bjerke, none for Olaf Martinus Bjerke and one for Martinus Bjerke. That one is Martinus Bjerke arriving in Ney York in 1888.
The information you have on his birth and death might be useful to determine whcih one we are looking for.
But have we not been down this road several times already. How is this person different than Martinus Bjerke from http://www.norwayheritage.com/snitz/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4581 |

Yes we have been on this subject before, but I can;t find information on Martinus Bjerke's children. I have gotten a lot of information from this site, but I can't find anything on his children's children, marriages or deaths. I have gone through a lot of different sites and have come up empty. I'm sorry to be a nuisance. Thank you for any help or give me the sites and I will look them up myself. |

From the earlier topic you have at least some of his children, see the 1900 census. Info from that topic included "Martinus first son Olaf was born June 11 1891" Mina born Dec 16 1893, see #2 Gudrun Olava born Nov 5 1895, see #3 Melchior born Jan 21 1898, see #5 Ida born April 4 1900, see #12.

If you wish to find out more about the family after the 1900 census you might have to utilize the farm history books Bygdebøker. The books for Rendalen can be found here.
http://homepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~norway/hedmarkbb.html#Rendalen
Perhaps the best place for you to access the books especially the one on Ytre Rendal would be a local Family History Center where you could access the book on microfilm and where there would also be someone who could help you understand how to use the books. |
