In old Norsk how would you translate: FLOWERING PATH TO HEAVEN?
Online translators give different results.
My wife needs it for a rosemalling.

Hi,
Norwegian translation;
Blomstrende sti til himmelen.
Runic alphabeth from Iron age to the Viking period.
See bottom graph;
YGJ FASE II (Younger Iron age ab. 675-800)
Ældre VT, Yngre VT and Yngste VT is from the three Viking periods.
Older (800-900), Younger (900-1000) and Youngest (1000-1050).
Runic alphabet from 1050-1175 almost halfway down from the top has more letters, see here
Perhaps you ment 1800 Norwegian, lots of dialects in various spellings and pronunciations depending on from where in Norway you came from, there may be many solutions that are correct.

Your wife can use a more outside the city dialect, an old rural dialect as the following;

It would be nice to have an explanation for the meaning/intention of the english text.
It may very well be translated as Blomstersti til Himmelen. ( A path towards heaven, covered with flowers.) |

The rosemalling is on a round plaque. A Norwegian church is in the middle and flowers cover one side of the plaque. |

Is the plaque with the church in the centre surrounded by a text and flowers as the plaque in the next sentence, other motive?
The motive is from Erik Werenskiold´s painting "Telemarksjenter" 1883, see bottom in the page here.
Norway has to off. languages, Bokmål and Nynorsk (New Norwegian)
New Norwegian is composed of words from across the country from mid 1800´s as compensation from Danish and Swedish influence in the language.
New Norwegian has two words for FLOWERING;
BLØMANDE and BLOMANDE.
I recommend your wife to use either (same meaning)
BLØMANDE STIG TIL HIMMELEN
BLOMANDE STIG TIL HIMMELEN

Online translators give different meaning or no meaning.
BLØMANDE STIG TIL HIMMELEN translates to BLOM STIG OF HEAVEN 
We think "Flowery pathway to heaven" is Blomstrende bane vei til himmelen.
The plaque is fourteen inches round with the church in the middle and flowers on the left side of the church. There will be no lettering on the plaque, it is for a title for competition.

Hi,
I feel a little info is appropriate.
Translating "pathway" to "bane vei" might be read as doubling up the meaning of the word.
I would suggest that you use only "sti" (or possibly "gangsti").
(Translating "bane vei" to english would be "clear way".)
